Dye Sublimation: Fabric Handling and Storage

Dye Sublimation: Fabric Handling and Storage

Issue

Dye sublimated fabric can easily be damaged if handled and stored improperly.

Quick Fixes for Fabric Handling and Storage

N

Store fabrics flat or horizontally to ensure fabric does not become askew on core or damage core.

N

Avoid storing rolls in a crisscross pattern - with the ends overlapping pallets or shelves to reduce defects.

N

Store fabrics in a climate controlled environment.

Excessive heat, cold, and moisture evaporation and condensation will affect printability (especially for coated fabrics).

N

Condition fabric prior to printing by bringing fabric to room temperature 24 hours in advance of printing to acclimate.

ALWAYS STORE FABRIC HORIZONTALLY IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT FOR BEST RESULTS.
