Ballistic Nylon

Ballistic nylon is a non-textured, smooth, high denier fabric that was originally developed as a protective textile to guard soldiers against impact during WWII. There are now more advanced fabrics with heightened protective attributes, like Kevlar®, but ballistic nylon is still used for many applications that require a strong textile

Ballistic nylon yarn is commonly seen as 1050 Denier Nylon, 1680 Denier Nylon, and 840 Denier Nylon (Jr. Ballistic), and is used in luggage, body armor, and other industrial applications.
