TVF Update On Personal Protective Equipment

Mar 25, 2020 | News

We have received many inquiries on whether TVF qualifies as an essential business.  TVF supplies materials which are used in and for various Critical Infrastructure Sectors, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, including but not limited to Healthcare and Defense. To date, we have received several letters from customers within these industries notifying us that under the US Government’s guidelines, we are part of the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce, given we are their key suppliers. Therefore, we qualify as an essential business and until further notice will remain fully operational.

Recently we have also received an outpouring of requests for material used in the construction of personal protection equipment (PPE’s).  This mostly includes materials for masks and isolation gowns.

To be clear, TVF does not offer medical grade fabrics that will perform to the standards outlined by the CDC for N-95 masks.  However, we do offer several non-medical grade fabrics that could be used for gowns and could help reduce the amount of particles expelled when coughing/breathing or work as covers for N-95 masks.

We are here to be a resource for you. TVF has created a COVID-19 Resource Center to help keep you informed. All industry news, fabric options, PPE construction templates, and financial updates will be posted here: COVID-19 Resource Center. We are here to be a resource for you.  If you have questions or need to talk through application solutions, please contact us through our website or call us at 855.618.4500.
