TVF’s two most high-profile trade shows of 2025 are behind us, and preparations for 2026 are already in high gear. PRINTING United Expo 2025 and Advanced Textiles Expo 2025 offered our teams up-close opportunities to connect with customers new and old, industry partners, and all walks of the print media, apparel, home décor, and industrial worlds. Let’s dig into a snapshot of the fabrics and applications that attracted interest in Orlando and Indianapolis.
Sunshine and Great Partnerships
Our print media, apparel, and home décor teams were flush with opportunities to discuss innovations and reliably-printable fabrics at PRINTING United Expo 2025. Apparel & Home Décor Sales Director Samantha Marion, Senior Print Media Sales Consultant Danny Jimenez, and Sales Consultant Sarah Munoz says a variety of substrates and applications came up throughout the three days the show floor was open.
Popular Products:
- 8.5 oz. 94/6 Polyester Spandex Heavy Scuba Deluxe was popular among sports uniuform makers. Sarah attributes the interest to its features and versatility, and Samantha adds “This one makes a great baseball pant, but can also work for heavy weight jerseys and hoodies.”
- Sarah says that custom scarves also piqued interest of those in Orlando. Samantha says two products, specifically were of interest: 2.2 oz. Polyester Satin and 1.5 oz. Polyester Silky Chiffon. Samantha adds “We hear about this every now and then, but this year seemed to have jumped up in popularity.”
- Canvas fabrics were also popular for home décor applications like pillows, table linens, and even high-end artwork canvases. “We have several options from our natural fiber line, but usually our polyester linen styles are the winners,” says Samantha. “Lassen (8 oz. Lassen Polyester Linen FR) is a great example. It’s a good weight, Made in USA, has inherent flame repel yarn, but most importantly, it prints great with dye sublimation.”
- Danny from our Print Media Team says booth visitors were curious about all things Georg+Otto Friedrich (GOF). TVF is your North American source for the German-made print media fabrics, including the all-new PureNight Pro, a recyclable blockout fabric that received a 2025 Pinnacle Award from PRINTING United Alliance in the Non-Output Media Textile Framing Systems Frontlit category. Our NoMove fabric that we are in the early stages of rolling out also attracted attention and was featured on custom printed table covers and coasters throughout our booth. Green Flag Waves in Indy
Advanced Textiles Expo 2025 was held in TVF’s “backyard,” Indianapolis, which offered opportunities for booth visitors to connect with our experienced, knowledgeable sales team and many others who play critical roles in serving as a trusted extension of your business.
The booth was abuzz all week with manufacturers and makers seeking industrial textiles for applications like tents and awnings, tactical clothing and uniforms, agricultural uses, and more. Both Classic & Vinyl Sales Director Travis Conlon and Senior Sales Consultant Chris Russo say Mega Grip® from TVF was a significant conversation piece. The 100% expanded PVC textile with a polyester backing and non-slip surface has uses that run the gamut including equestrian, seating, glove palms, medical and therapy equipment, and more.
Chris adds “There was also a lot of questions regarding our vinyl products for this particular show. Mostly vinyl coated mesh and our vinyl coated products to be specific.”
In addition to the collaborations happening in the booth, the rest of the show featured industry-wide connections and learning opportunities, including leaders attending the ATA Emerging Technologies Conference and the Textile Nerd Podcast’s debut on the Expo’s Podcast Row. Guests for the live presentations included TVF Vice President of Business Development Robert Hinsch, TVF Global Trade and Logistics Manager Laura Martin, Senior Sales Consultant Erica Roudebush, Sales Consultant Blake Theademan, and special guest Miller Weldmaster North American Sales Manager Jason Damis. Miller Weldmaster used TVF vinyl in several demonstrations throughout the show, and TVF was also a featured sponsor of a performance by Hanging by a Thread, a musical group made up of industry members.
